Entry Rules for 1st Round:
- Upload an audio (mp3) recording of a non-film-based devotional song in any Indian language.
- Recording to be natural, without any post-production effects.
- If the song is not in Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, or Kannada, make sure to email us the lyrics and meaning of the song at g2m@cvv.ac.in.
- Only acoustic or electronic instruments like Tanpura (drone) and Tabla/Mridangam (percussion) may be used for accompaniment.
- The audio track should be an mp3 file not larger than 20MB.
- The duration of recording may be between 3 to 5 minutes.
- The last date for submission is August 25, 2022 (Early Bird Registration open up to August 5, 2022)
A total of ten participants from each category and stream will be selected by the panel of judges for the 2nd Round. (In case we receive a large number of participants in a category/sub-category, a second-level internal screening will be done of 25 or 30 best audios). Results will be declared on September 5, 2022.

- Upload one video (mp4) recording in a language other than that used for the 1st round. If the song is not in Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, or Kannada, make sure to email us the lyrics and meaning of the song at g2m@cvv.ac.in
- Recording to be natural, without any post-production effects.
- Only acoustic or electronic Tanpura (drone) and Tabla/Mridangam (percussion) may be used for accompaniment.
- The video should be recorded in landscape mode. Maximum file size allowed is 30MB.
- The duration of recording may be between 3 to 5 minutes.
- Last date for submission: September 22, 2022.
Five participants from each category and stream will be selected by the panel of judges from the 2nd round for the Final Round. Results will be declared on October 10, 2022.
Entry Rules for Final Round
- This live round will be conducted ONLINE on October 30, 2022.
- The finalists would have to be prepared to perform two songs. One can be a repeat of what was sung earlier but the other has to be a new song in a different language. Participants may be asked the meaning of the song, as well.
- The duration of each song may be between 3 to 5 minutes.
- Only Harmonium / Violin and Tabla / Mridangam accompaniment will be permitted. No other instrument (including manjira, etc.) may be used. Use of such other instruments may disqualify the entrant from the competition.
- Prizes will be announced on the same day. Each category and stream will have 1st & 2nd prizes.

- Can I sing a devotional song from a movie?
No, film songs aren’t allowed. However, if an existing song / kriti is used in a movie, that will be acceptable. - I wish to participate in both the light and the classical devotional songs in my age category. May I?
